Biography...

Joachim Mersdorf is the 'songwriter' in fingerstyle guitar.

He was born in Essen in the former german coal miners' area called ''Ruhrgebiet''.

His first musical experiences he made in a boy choir at the age of 5.
At the age of 14 he got his first guitar and learnt it –beside some classical lessons– more or less autodidactic.

In the '90 he was a member of bands and projects together with
Carolina Bigge (now: Pe Werner, Y. Catterfeld) and Christiane Weber (now: Weber&Beckmann).

In 2006 he started the ''audiolize'' project to promote his own and unique solo guitar music
just by free downloads under the permission that some rights are reserved.
Within this project he released his first CD ''start up'' in 2006.

In 2009 he relased his 2nd solo CD ''open sky'', which is available again by free download
at the internet.

As a trained scientist he is working in the mobile communication business.

He is living with his wife and 3 little children in the lower rhine area.
